I had a driver who used it who was definitely not deaf lol. His bio on the app just said “introvert”. Which is a total vibe.
I'd just scream "oh my god, lookout!!" randomly during the trip to see if he's a filthy liar or not.

See the thing is he ain’t deaf. He just doesn’t wanna talk to you. That’s why he didn’t include instructions as to how you can communicate with him unless you infer that you can do so through the app

I have some issues that cause me to be unable to speak sometimes and had a deaf driver the other day. Dude, the look on both of our faces when we realized we just had the like, most compatible issues was great lmao
