Mop it up with socks and throw a sock in the machine for each load of laundry

Socks or washcloths soak up the right amount. Towels are too much. So sorry OP.

Kitty litter works really well for cleaning up messes like this.

Troumb_omb9
Troumb_omb9· 121d ago

That really sucks. I worked in a store. It was one of the worst things to clean up. We used cat litter to soak up most of it. Water and a mop just makes it worse by turning it into a bigger slippery, sudsy mess.

Laundry detergent was one of the worst things to clean up when I worked retail. About as equally bad as oil. Floor stays slick for days no matter how well you cleaned it up. I feel for ya, OP.

Had this happen. Used rags/dish towels and zip lock bags. Soal up with the rags. The saturated (try not to oversaturate) rags go individually into zip lock bags. Used one rag per load. Mopped the floor and was good to go.

Soak it up with socks - don’t overload them. Toss the socks into an empty kitty litter bucket or trashcan or whatever you have and you have invented your very own no-spill liquid laundry detergent. 🤓

You can actually scrape up like 89% of it with two dustbins if you don’t have two, it’ll take a little bit longer by a spatula but still doable and like everyone else says: whatever’s left on the floor you just mop up with clothes you’re gonna wash anyway.

😆 no, there’s a little white table off the the right where it lives. That’s why I am thinking maybe it got bumped by someone’s but when taking a load out of the dryer.
