I truly cannot win
In all these photos, I am backed up as far as possible against walls, cars, lawns, etc. I CANNOT GET ANY FURTHER AWAY! I swear, this is on 99% of my orders recently. I constantly have to retake the picture before it’ll permit me force it through.

This post is too close Step back and try again.
This made me laugh 😂
Just click to use this photo anyway.
It usually doesn’t let me with the first pic, it only has the option to retake. When i take the second one, it still says i’m too close but allows me use it anyway.
The ai for the delivery pics has been dog shit since the last update
> AI for the delivery pics There's your problem right there
Hahahaha 😂 that’s so funny, mine always said that too but when I got a new phone it suddenly stopped saying that
I’m honestly due for a new phone lol, i’m planning to buy a newer one in a couple months. I always run my phone to the ground, i’ve got a 5 year old XR😅
One time the app told me that it couldn’t accept a photo because the door was not visible. On an order that I had to drop off in a hospital lobby-
Had that happen to me twice. So annoying
Usually when that happens I snap a photo to upload to the customer in messages, and click handed to customer after I message them.
My favorite is when the picture is clearly in the dark and it doesn’t ask you to retake. Then you drop off one with a shitty light in the back and it freaks out and makes you take it again.
I ignore those messages every time.
On 240A, why didn’t you put it on the chair?
It looks wet on the top, chairs that hold water are worse than just the ground a lot of times.
Must be a regional thing or something because I have over 5,000 deliveries and I've never seen a message like this
I mostly have pictures rejected when a previous dasher took a picture of the wrong door, or the previous picture was garbage. Once the app accepts the first wrong picture it seems very reluctant to accept a correct picture.
I haven’t seen this until maybe 2 weeks ago, I’ve gotten the “too dark” and “angled” wrong a few times before this. Someone else said this same issue resolved itself after they got a new phone, I was already planning on buying a newer one in the next month or two because my fi...
DD tired of people getting refunds from reporting food never received now apparently wants you taking photos from at least two blocks away. They must’ve just forgot to ad instructions to wait a few mins. Preferably in some foliage until you see the customer grab the bag
I have many issues with the app, but never this one
Its fascinating. Thank you for your view inside. I though therefore (US-)Americans are very polite social interacting people. But as OP said: Covid changes. Thank you for your answer!

I hate when there are multiple customer instructions to leave at garage side door, or front door, but the previous dasher took a picture of the wrong door, without an address and no order visible. I take a perfect shot of the order exactly where the customer asked, with a clea...
I like it when you take the photo and it tells you that you’re at the wrong address

Forget the photo, back the food up..blocking doors n sh
All of those doors open inward. No screen or glass door either so
Have you updated the app? Mine was acting up a lot this week and updating helped.
I have never gotten a message like that when taking a drop-off photo before.
its not so much as stepping back that’s the issue, its the angle of your phone. just angle your phone toward your hip and keep the phone straight. works every time.
Clean your lens. There's probably something on it that is tripping up the ai checking the photos, and several of these were blurry ish
that might be it. I do clean off my lens pretty often, but I’m in the pnw, the rain is always getting on my lens which can def affect the picture quality
Talking to driver support before they told me they like a picture as far back as possible, not to necessarily show the item itself but the house so if a customer says it's delivered to the wrong place, they can pull up a google earth picture of the address to see if it's the s...
At the bottom of the screen, there are two buttons one says retake the other says done, just hit done. I don’t care about DoorDash‘s AI’s opinion of my picture if it is a good picture. Tap done and let them suffer with it. You’re getting a house number, you’re getting the orde...
try being straight in front of the door
Red chair sitting there and you put it on the ground. These dashers man 🤦🏾♂️
It was raining and the chair was wet, there was an overhang above the door so the mat was dry. I think they’d be more upset if they pick up their food and everything falls out of the wet, ripped bottom than me setting it on the covered ground 🤷🏻♀️
Yall posting anything on this Reddit take picture again or make them accept simple
