I experience so terrible for the Beetle

You can inform that the Beetle was well taken care of up unI learned this point. Imagine taking it out for it's monthly drive and this happens. 😩 I experience terrible for all parties involved.

Feel worse for the Beetle driver because there's a 99% chance their insurance is going to declare the car a total loss solely because of its age.

Back in the 70's and early 80's they were so common we had a game called "Punchbuggy" and whoever saw one first on a family road trip would punch their sibling in the arm. Kind of like slapjack but with cars. Now you can play it with the newer uglier ones I guess.

We actually played that when I was a kid in the later 90’s too. Though probably not nearly as common. On topic though with OP yeah this freaking sucks for the VW owner!

My dad has a gorgeous old Beetle like that. Candy red and in really good condition. I’d thrown hands with a Honda driver if that ever happened to him, I’d be so mad on his behalf.
