The soundtrack in gaming title isn't particularly excellent music for games

I have no trouble with the pieces as *music* in the overall meaning, but as *game music* they feature excessive vocals and recurring portions. Game music needs to function being pleasant on repetition forever. Mix that with the reality that the words are extremely obvious, and it results in a mildly bothersome sensation eventually. I believe persons give it credit because the game is famous for "wonderful music," and these are actually excellent pieces... just not for hearing on repeated plays.
