Massive tree fell in my front yard, blocking the door.

Luckily no one was hurt and no damage to the property! Only just have to discover the best, most economic approach to get rid of it now lol

In my neighborhood it would be people trying to sell solar panels or do a "free roof inspection."

For as much as it sucks, and will be a pretty big hassle to remove, we got insanely lucky with how it fell

"massive" - me sitting here looking up at the dozens of 100-foot white pines that menace my house all day.

My 18v skill 'chainsaw' could probably handle this one. Lol

Ok yea that’s a whole other level! But ~50ft felt big enough for me to say that. If it was 100ft I wouldn’t have half my house anymore

Cheapest option would be to build a front door extension into a treehouse

Oh hell yea I’ve always wanted an extension on the house anyway

Most economical way to remove it is to rent a chainsaw my dude

MothSpicy53· 26d ago

a chainsaw will cut it into pieces. need a truck or a trailer to remove the logs, limbs, and branches

Just use the backdoor. Front Door belongs to the tree now.

omg this happened to my roommate's parents last year! if you have a chainsaw you can actually sell the wood to people for firewood and make some $$ back.

You got about $100 in free firewood. Cut and stack cords by the house and it'll dry by next winter. Or post on a FB woodworking page and somebody will come collect it

That’s a little tree, pull out your chainsaw, in an hour you would have it cut up.

It blocked the front door but you got a picture from both inside and out… 2 people? One trapped inside? One trapped outside? Or is somebody exaggerating here…? Hmmmmm?
