We used to just do the things we know how and were trained to do, now we ask a prompt over and over and over again until a “AI” accidentally produces a similar result. I really hope this comes to a head soon and we start investing in actual infrastructure in this country. Thi...
The problem is that they’re exploiting our labour to create the world in which they no longer need to rely on it, so basically ‘do extra free and regular underpaid labour until we figure out a way to break these shackles of having to pretend to care about you dirty poors” A...
I, Robot. Skynet. I bet it will do something.
They've declared their intention, it's to privatise intelligence and skill. You will own nothing, you will know nothing, you will think nothing, you will only consume and serve.
Is it only AI or the culmination of being forced to do more, more, more every year with clueless management shoving crap that doesn't work down everyone's throat and the limit has been reached? People have been burning out more and more with the way the infinite growth tumor d...
My work is always coming up with more platforms and applications and AI to "help" our work but it's so damn exhausting! I can't keep up with it and still do my work. Also, by the time I do get used to something, they change it to something they think is better.
Silicon Valley, in all their great wisdom, decided that the old structure of one senior employee overseeing two junior employees was outdated. Now, the senior employee is completely burnt out while the two junior employees are unemployed! Please be grateful.
Just call it burnout.
Ai fry, my main guy Head in the sky Can’t calculate why Ain’t allowed to say nigh Company won’t allow me to cry
The immediate trust and reliance on AI is actual insanity. It lies enough to be considered unreliable by any reasonable metric of productivity. And we wonder why it's running away, out of control. This is only going to get worse and it fucking sucks.
I feel this. It used to be so nice, yes I'd be fried by Friday but I had time "doing" things. Things my fingers knew to do while my brain was processing some background thread. But it's not the management of ai bit that I find most taxing. It's the big decision making and pla...
I work in cyber, can *definitely* confirm
I feel like the people described in these stories are like waifs who have no agency or control over their situations at all. whose fault is it that they’re burning out, is their manager pushing their face into the screen or have they been mentally enslaved by AI in some way?
Yup. At work AI is just another tool to squeeze more juice out of me while paying me the same.
I use it everyday at work it’s great. I also know it’s going to take my job in a few years but that’s next years problem
If you're asking AI to do the same task over and over again yeah, you're just using it wrong.
