Charging device connector obstructed by tensioning mechanism fastening

I'm in the operation of changing the generator, however the bottom connector of the generator is behind the fastening of the tensioning mechanism. Would i only remove the fastening? I am kind of concerned of it rupturing. If so, where? At the bottom connector (second image) or near the tensioning device wheel? 2006 Opel sedan 1.4 Z14XEP
