No Wonder There Are Spend Complaints
Well there's the proof. DoorDash is officially the bottom of the barrel nationwide. The national average was the result of this study on Business Insider. This corporation must be ashamed. https://www.businessinsider.com/how-much-uber-lyft-doordash-gig-workers-per-hour-2025-2026-3

There is a skill component to gig work. It's not like working a register where everyone gets the same range of pay like $12-16. Someone single apping in a low MPG gas car is going to make less. If you're better, you'll make more (having a good market helps)
Yeah I make bank doing shop and deliver orders. But I also know where everything is and move quickly. I average 25+ an hour and don’t even multi app anymore because it’s not necessary.
I started Spark part time about a year ago and I wasn't really dashing much anymore before I started doing that. I was having a slow day and turned the Dasher app on and it was really sad. $2.50 (could be more 🙄..) 9 miles... I know people that do it more get better offers bu...
I'd rather sit in the WM parking lot and read my Kindle while waiting for a decent offer than doing DD unless it's REALLY bad. I make more in a day doing Spark than I did in the average week doing DD.
I consistently get $25+ a hour every time I dash
Frl idk where they getting thse numbers from i am lost https://preview.redd.it/8qsvih1kxbpg1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ccb51db7d670439b3bc737be38274cbd26e42775
I call BS. I do food delivery part time using DD/GH/UE, and have been active for around three years. DD is around 90% of that. No chance in hell would I drive for $11 per hour. Of the three, DD pays the best hourly rate, in part because they have the largest market share...
It’s because your area is great. For 90% of people their market sucks for doordash. I genuinely believe it. During non peak hours when i would dash i would get 2-3 offers per hour maximum. It was like $15-$20 an hour. Now during peak times it was much better but regardless the...
Yeah I when I saw this especially from a a source like business insider I was surprised. It is completely wrong. In my area I make at least $25/hr doing door dash, I also live in the Rio Grande Valley in South TX which is a pretty low income area.
California driver here. You need laws to protect drivers pay. If you dont, your gonna make pennies.
You can keep that trash in Cali. There is a reason why everything in your state costs more than pretty much anywhere else. Cali people like Cali everyone else is like meh keep it. You guys like the way you do things. Most people don't.
I find that so interesting cuz at least in my market in canada, uber eats is god awful compared to instacart and doordash
Thankfully I'm not an hourly employee. I only care about profit.
there's a lot of that "while actively engaged" bs with the top half, and the bottom half taking the "not actively engaged" time into consideration.
Depends on area where I live uber instacart and amazon pay the best DD is garbage in my area and most others agree but when i lived in arizona DD was better
I've been saying for a long time that I'd never drive again for DoorDash. They don't pay their drivers enough and I just happen to drive for spark. I'm averaging around 23 an hour when I drive. On the weekends it's usually 25 plus but slow times during the week drop the num...
I usually make around $20, but that doesn't count gas or car payment or repairs or anything of that stuff that this job requires. Not to mention taxes.. I think this is maybe due to higher competition on doordash, requiring you to pick orders more carefully. It can be dishear...
I’m only a week in but I’ve been averaging $29/hour and found DoorDash much more lucrative than UberEats - especially knowing the tips are guaranteed, it’s easier to know which orders to accept and decline based on mileage and location.
that's called the honeymoon, it'll be over soon trust me

I make more off of doordash than uber... And I'm not even platinum. I'm sitting at 53% AR. https://preview.redd.it/wpduxbsdbbpg1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=34f187046cdb4aca85e9d4b8fce7d211d7a91d93
Wonder which company funded this study
I live in a good market which is chicago and i make good money doordashing. Uber do sucks here. Idk where tf they getting these numbers at im constantly making over 25 plus an hour dash time https://preview.redd.it/3smbv48zkbpg1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&a...
I'm more concerned they're showing Spark and Flex at those rates. Did 4 hours of Spark yesterday to hit a 5 delivery bonus. Barely delivered 70 total items. $225 in pay and less than 30 miles round trip. I do Flex whenever there's not enough Spanish speaking idiots availab...
I average $25-$28 with Spark, and this is a rural area. I won't even look if it's got a bulky item, a heavy one, or there are more than 3 drop-offs. I also won't take less than a certain amount per mile. There's too much deadheading back to the store otherwise, and I need to b...
It's horrible in rural areas. I make a LOT more money driving 35 miles to the nearest WM and doing Spark. I can make as much in one day doing that as I earn in a week here in Nowheresville -- and the customers can't claw back tips.
Wdym customers can absolutely tip bait on Spark.
I’m from Mississippi, and when I’m back home it’s very obvious that Spark is number one there. Walmart is basically the only place that’s always super busy, and there are plenty of them to go around in the South.
What’s task rabbit?
Doordash has slowly gone down the shitter over the years. Chipping away at our pay. They keep taking. It's so bad I will barely get on a couple orders a week. I was full time three years ago. It's ridiculous.
What the fuck? I've heard of Task Rabbit but $38/hr? Is that real?
Spark is my main gig income but DoorDash comes in clutch for icing on the top, with Shipt and Uber Eats helping out.
I bet they are very proud 😂
Dunno about y'all but I make more than every platform on this list save taskrabbit. I did favor for 3 years too and outperformed their average by at least double
This is a very inaccurate depiction of gig work in my area, I’ve done UE Uber and DoorDash and door dash pays much more than Uber. I average $25/hr with door dash, most of drivers on these subs that I’ve seen post earnings average about the same or more in some areas. If I ...
Made 130 for 2 hours and 47 minutes of work. That used to take me 6/7 hours on doordash. It took me 1 1/2 yearsto get into spark but its great
This is interesting to see and I think very market dependent. I’ll run DoorDash and UberEats which probably runs a little lower than Uber with ride share, and the two different areas I’ll do it are night and day. In Pittsburgh, it is dominated by UberEats and I made $100 on ju...
I make a lot more than $11 an hour, and I personally would hate delivering for Walmart.
Spark deliveries in my area are great and pay way better than DD.
My income almost tripled when I went from DD to Spark. This is a depressed area. People are POOR. Tips generally suck, and lower income people are more likely to claw them back if they need that money for something else. I keep my DD account active in case I need to use it, bu...
DoorDash I think in 90% of places makes $20-25 per hour active time. I have found that to be consistent. By active time I mean when I press "dash now, to "end dash"
On a GOOD day, I make about $11 an hour doing DD. All things are not equal. Location matters. We do 4-5 local restaurants, 3 DGs, 1FD, and Walgreens. The local grocery store doesn't do DD. So I drive for Spark.
Why everybody hating on DoorDash I’m making $400 a day easily
It is definitely easy when you know your market but in some of the rural cities no, it can be tough
that's impossible where i live, i decline average 10-20 orders daily, not gonna take 5 for 19 miles i mean please, then send it back with another pos to make it 25 miles, this is what we get for working for a chinese psy-op ;lol
Anyone responding post your most recent weekly earnings. There are posts in recent threads that show people experiencing abysmal hourly pay, some crying even, while just not able to make it work within this nation. I posted the source. I need to see yours, just as you see mine.
I mean i doordash in Chicago where the pay is good https://preview.redd.it/of6vehdtkbpg1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be31b250776da2e3639f90d200582e35936dd347
Here’s my weekly earnings that show consistency up until my last full week in December when I took a break. If there’s no volume in your market, there’s nothing you can do. If you have volume, you have to figure out what works best in your market. Lots of guys where I’m at (P...

It's because doordash drivers are the dumbest and refuse to multi app. Which are also the same dumb people maintaining platinum when it's absolutely meaningless. Every app has its statuses and only DD drivers try so hard to maintain. Also, doordash will LITERALLY allow any i...
Ok 1 ur wrong doordash is better in alot of markets and have more users. In my market (chicago) doordash is wayyy better. I tried uber that shit sucks ass. I make more with doordash. 2. Platinum literally works in some markets my guy. i literally can maintain Platinum in Chic...
Why would anyone let that be their hourly? Lol I avg $42 an hour
No you don't
