I put that DoorDash hides tips and is a casino please fix it lol. Fuck DoorDash
I've noticed multiple orders of mine come out to just a few dollars less than what I was actually told I was going to be paid, bringing it up to the over seas support gives back;
DoorDash like many other companies is far from perfect and like everyone else is only trying to line their CEO and shareholders pockets, but trust me when I say this. I have worked a myriad of jobs, they can be so so much worse. I'm not sure what these surveys are about or wh...
Do you feel better after that?
It just sucks you gotta get health insurance through the marketplace or have nothing at all.
Dont help this evil company... deactivating drivers left and right
Honestly. I was deactivated before I ever took my first dash. I've been fighting with them ever since.
If DoorDash is pushing whatever it is it benefits shareholder value but that is their only concern.
Which is why our only rewards for doing good at this job is getting $5 off of our next $20 order from doordash
I totally agree man, there is so much wrong with this
what’s going on?
Something something corporate higher up wants us to mass send out emails again "on our behalf" for their "grassroots" program for the drivers. There really isn't that much information given to us but the last time this happened they essentially wanted us to argue against ben...
Being told you cant unassign or only 1/10 is not independent contracting ... be sure congress knows about that independent part
So you wanna be an employee? I was an employee of a delivery company called Quick Foxes years ago. Minimum wage, kept all tips and miles reimbursement. Not bad? Shift work, for example 4pm to 11pm. Late? Written up. Took every order, could not decline any. 45 min wait at a res...
It is possible to want to be 1099 contractors and still be treated fairly. The grey area in between is where there is exploitation danger. I searched for that company you mentioned and could not find details. Is it likely they were just a shitty company?
They think they'll get $20/hr to sit in their car. What's likely to happen, if this shit gets pushed too far, is DD paying server wages. Then topping it off at the end of your shift, if the tips and wages don't meet minimum wage. Like you said, you'd have to take everything. ...
If you want to be an employee, drive for an Amazon DSP then tell me if you still want that. Dashing pays more with a tenth of the work.
Let's just make all of our employees mass send pre-gened-info-dump just like the last grassroots
Somewhere inside the DoL: “Hey Copilot, go through the comments, give me a summary of all form letter submissions along with a count of how often each one was submitted, and create a new comment database with all form submissions filtered out.”
I wish I could be the devil on the shoulder to watch that happen
They will spend millions of $$$ to make sure workers have no power. Collectively we are invincible.
Too bad that every time someone tries to suggest organizing and unionizing here, the entire reddit bands together to shout them down and belittle them for even suggesting such a thing
Too bad we're all divided, most other dashers will see another Dasher and see them as a rival
Dashroots is the most psyop psyop. No you can't have a Union. Yes you can collectively work harder for shareholder profits. Be our AstroTurf. Be Useful Idiots for the class that rules over you. Speak out against your own interests! Serfs come to love their chains.
They sure want drivers to sign up for their union busting group but will they ever give a driver representation in that group, HELL NO!
Why?
Because a company shouldn't be begging its employees to mass send out pre-filled emails to lawmakers; at least this time they're pretending to say "hey can you change something in this paragraph this time xD"
I mean what shouldn't be legal about it
They push their own interests and ask you to act like it's actually your interest. Doordash makes millions a day off of just having an app. You make maybe a hundred fifty. The customers pay a lot of money for this service, and we're barely paid, while we're doing the actual ...
I’ll be honest if DoorDash switched to an employee model I’d stop doing it. I don’t want a boss who tells me when I work. There’s a lot of issues with DoorDash as a company, the independent contractor model isn’t one of them.
Yeah, most dashers would definitely not be happy once they saw how being an employee would be.
I want laws to protect gig workers! There isn't any real flexibility on Doordash. You cannot work when you want, unless you are Platinum. You must take so many orders and your time of arrival is monitored. Let's not even get into the shopping and the ratings there. These gig a...
Yeah, this sort of thing is SUPPOSED to be blatantly illegal, but at this point, it seems companies can do whatever they want without any sort of consequences
I modified it and told them not to do it because DD screws us over as independent contractors. I did not do it through the email. I actually went to the government website and left my input there
Hello u/Shizzigi, please take a moment to review our [subreddit rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/doordash_drivers/about/rules/) if you haven't already done so. (This is an automatic reminder added to all new posts) News and updates below: - Friendly reminder to everyone: Disc...
Here's more info. All looks good imo https://preview.redd.it/pfxl8xbs1nog1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3030f0bc30e1faf5a22f396ba1c8c742eb4ef149
I'm not saying it's not good as I haven't looked into it, but any communication from DD is insanely biased and is not a good source to determine what is good for us
Yeah it's basically a nothing burger and you open it and get the nothing fries with it
What's the law about, in layman's terms? I skimmed it and feel like they're trying to let employers fuck over more people by saying they're not employees but 1099 independent contractors....but I could be totally wrong at the same time. Just an assumption based of what I've se...
Why do people on this site? Think things should be illegal. You have choices. You don’t not have to respond. You do not have to take an order that is two dollars for 12 miles.
Call the figure of speech why are you upset at me
Look Into the previous "dashroots" lol if your asking "why"
It’s damn lazy for you to post something without context. LOL
