So does this mean it’s ok to leave earlier than 2pm? Cus the storms expected to start at 1?

Some schools in PW county were just in tornado lockdown. They have early dismissal but not early enough apparently!

OPM page only says “must leave no later than 2pm” sooo take that as you will! I sure as hell would be leaving asap if I were in DC

Nothing here in Philadelphia even though we're under the same Tornado watch. Fuck us, I guess. Edit: Just got word that we're shutting down at 2:30. Woo-hoo!

Tornadoes have no interest in hitting Philly while Bryce Harper is out of town.

I'm in NJ and there's no mention of it at work. Pretty strange it's such a big deal in DC but not a peep here

Is this only for the DC area? Those of us in North Florida/ South Georgia are being hit with the same storm? 2 active tornadoes on the ground as of right now

The page I am viewing is just for the DC area. Not sure if different areas have their own operating notification systems.

So does that mean that we have to telework the remainder of the day?

Can’t telework when we need it but are forced to telework when it’s convenient for them

Only if you don't get stuck in traffic or waiting for your commuter bus and get home before your work day ends.

We were given the ability to use situational telework but only with an agreement because they refuse to close altogether, and no one in my building has an agreement. If it got to that level its just pettiness thats keeping us here at all because they cant through us an ounce o...
