I used to have a friend who was straight up told by her Doctor ALL of her kids would be born with debilitating neurological issues. Full stop, 100%. She had 5 more.
And we're they all born with the debilitating condition(s)?
Have relatives like that as well. One stopped at 2 when they found out, one had 7 kids total, only one child is able and fit, and it's their second child.
That should be a law against this. Some way of holding people accountable for their sick need to procreate and hurt the kids if they are most likely not going to be able to take care of the kids properly.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Maybe I’m just an honest friend but I’d be like “are you sure you want another? You seem to be really struggling with what you already have on your plate”
I’ve spoke to her and her husband about this. It’s all too much for them an they know it but won’t listen
Religious family? My cousin was shamed by her very Catholic in laws for ONLY having 5. Her husbands brother has 7 with an 8th on the way.
My mother has 12 kids. Not religious, though.
That's nuts, five is already insane in my head. I grew up with two brothers in one room and it was too much...
There's a YouTube channel called "Scary Interesting". One of these videos starts off about a guy who works in a mine. The narrator says something like "Bill lives in bumfuck-middle-of-nowhere working 6 days a week doing 12 hour shifts at the eat-shit-and-die mine to support h...
"The Eat Shit And Die Mine" 💀
How does he have enough time to sire that many kids if he's in the mine so much?
May be in the minority here, but I have one, and I absolutely adore him, but he is *plenty.*
Had a friend who had a genetic disorder so she did not have children. Her brother on the other hand had three. She ended up raising the kid who inherited the disorder because brother was too busy. Gross
That’s fucked up, big time.
I read this as “friend just had her 6th birthday” - reading this as tho it’s a 6 year old fried my tiny brain https://preview.redd.it/p49hgp90hhog1.jpeg?width=634&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84da61854c81d16bd0aa79bf4139dd5fc29d3f51
People know men can get their tubes tied right?
I was 32 with three kids when I went to get snipped, they required my wife to come in and sign paperwork in order to have the surgery done.
I will never understand how people do this. I have a friend. She is 28. 6 kids. 2 different fathers and the one she is with now hasn't worked in over a year. She is the only provider. He doesn't cook or clean anything. I don't understand why she keeps having them.
Literally makes zero sense. Some people are just blind martyrs with zero sense of self or self respect
My friend literally gave birth to her fourth baby in five years two days after her 27th birthday… She’s getting community housing later this month because they don’t have enough space. Her partner has worked min wage at Home Depot since their first baby and she can’t afford to...
I grew up as number 7 in a family of 11 children, there is no amount of religious belief that justifies the emotional neglect we had to endure. Insanity.
I believe this. Even if someone intends to be great parents, it’s really hard to tend to that many kids and also try to provide for them. This is the same issue I have with men who have a bunch of kids with different women.
Surely they can afford condoms if they could afford 6 kids...
Not sure where OP lived, but sterilization may even be cheaper than giving birth at the hospital or even all the additional medical visits needed
And getting a vasectomy or a tubal/ bilateral salpingectomy would pay for itself in the amount saved on having more kids ffs. I believe people like that are like “ birth control/ sterilization bad, having more kids than anyone could ever afford, good.” You often see this type o...
This is why I'm single and childless. Life is much easier.
I feel single and childless....spouse in another state for work and I have 2 adult childrens that have left the nest, one 2 years ago (Marine) and one recently (h.s. future Marine).....eh.
Ever seen anyone willingly dig themselves into their own hole?
I don't get why people have kids when it is obvious that it will be difficult to afford to feed and clothe them 😭 But also how to be upset with her not having a paid job when she has a FT job "just" looking after 5 kids and an infant? 🫠
How is she supposed to get a job with 6 children and no childcare ?
The husband is struggling working 6 days a week. She could work 2, giving him 3 days off to look after the kids while she works
I once knew a girl whose goal was to have as many kids by as many baby daddies as she could because she believed that if something ever happened to her that they'd have lots of family support. Meanwhile, she was on practically every government assistance program and already h...
Eww.
I hope you’re charging for her therapy sessions
This is why birth control exists. And if that fails, abortions. My parents had 4 of us, and after my mom had the last one of us, my dad got snipped. Which is what your friend's dad should definitely have done after the 4th. Or even the second or third. I'm guessing there's goi...
Exactly. Parentification is what makes huge families go around. Nobody cares if it scars the kids who have to do it. Another form of this is when a child is parentified into caring for their parent who is long term sickly. I lived that way forever until my parent became too he...
Something’s in her water.
Being pregnant looks fun 😐
Someone needs to tell her it's a vagina, not a clown car...
imo 3 is already a lot.
This pisses me off. Parents lose any right to complain about anything the second they bring new life into the world.
Yeah I would not be friends with that person anymore if it were me. Shes addicted to having babies it’s irresponsible as hell
Sometimes I envy these people that are just reckless; they want something they do it. Meanwhile I’m here rationalizing little things.
I am the youngest kid in a family of five. Seriously this experience made me not want to have more kids then two if I even have any. Sure growing up with lot of siblings in a loving family is nice. But what job do you have to have to be able to support that many kids and also ...
Why are they like this? I have a cousin who's so broke (both her and her POS deadbeat husband are unemployed) that they had to move into my grandparents' house, can only drive into town at night because their car's road tax hasn't been paid in YEARS, finish up all the groceri...
Incredibly selfish and unethical. I would never be friends with someone like that.
Honestly, can she even afford to work with 6 kids?
It’s such a vicious cycle. More than likely, she’d have to wait until they’re all in school and even then, the options are limited if she wants to be available when they get out of class. But then, she needs to work to feed them. Childcare is so expensive that it’s probably ea...
There is a book called let them. So let her make that decision she’s an adult. The end. Limit your exposure to the complaining
Is she one of those people who is addicted to pregnancy but not actually that interested in raising the kids?
All my aunts and uncles back in the day I had 27 aunts and uncles they each had 7 kids catholic poor as hell I do nut understand there fucking crazy
What's the age gap of the babies? They hate their current situation but want more babies? That's something.
Oldest is 10
MORE CHILDREN FOR THE MACHINE TO SLAVE AWAY FOR LABOUR
That’s facts, 1 Trillion Percent!
I was dating once girl who had a kid, was struggling, but wanted another one. I told her no fuckin way. She tried to babytrap me, luckily I'm careful af.

Let me guess, she’s on welfare too? I guarantee you she’s having kids on purpose
That’s a horribly judgmental thing to say.
