Xfinity was given rid of all their human agents ???????
So the calling agents are AI appropriate? Barely called to lower the bill and this does not sound such as a human. He’s making odd pauses, saying not correct information, just sounds like a robot. Is there any method to reach a human or did xfinity fire them?

it takes a while, but you can get a human. Its easier to do in chat. in chat, type agent. it wont give it to you right away. at some point it will ask xfinity service or mobile. choose either one, and one of the options afterwards should have "chat with an agent". For actual...
It used to do this but I tried today for 15 minutes and never got an agent so I had to call unfortunately. And the person who called sounded like a robot
10% of the time, works every time
Yeah, I talked two times to customer support directly yesterday. I am almost certain they have switched to full AI for their supposed "human tech support". Kind of B.S. if you ask me. It was already bad enough we never got American-based tech support - now it's non-American ...
Yea they did, and it's costing them a lot of business. I'll use their lines, but everything is aggregator now. I don't care if I pay more. I refuse their customer care.
I'm not a customer but bought a phone that came locked to xfinity and boy trying to deal with a real human without an account is almost impossible.

Call and say you want to disconnect your service. They will immediately dispatch you to a live agent. I tried this on Tuesday and it worked! Good luck!
So, Comcast just raises their pricing (double ?). They eliminate the interactive customer service , and the retention department. It’s abuse of the customer and I do not know how they get away with poor business practices. Legislation is needed to make the market more compet...
Basically, there are limited calling agents, so there is a long wait until you get thru, so they encourage you to contact the chat agents to resolve your query and doubts on the chat itself. You will rarely get thru to a live agent on call. The chat agents have the ability to ...
This was a callback through the chat agent and I’m 99% sure the agent who answered was AI
Ugh - I have XFinity for home internet and for mobile phones. Two phones have always shown the original device types from when we first moved to XFinity 5+ yrs ago, even though I've upgrade the phones. The incorrect phone model affects trade-in value if I try to upgrade thro...
Actually xfinity agents are humans, they are outsourcing it to third world countries like India, actually it's like fooling customers in the name of making profit for corporates..they are probably using some AI tool to hide their indian accents.
Go to executive customer service, they are human and can actually help. They are quicker to help if you mention filing/file a complaint with the FCC because you can’t get a human to help you with your bill. They will also delete this comment, so I hope you see it first.
Probably
I asked for a human and he straight up was all “I am a human :) you can ask me any question”
Did you try saying [shibboleet](https://xkcd.com/806/)?
Could be a bot, but it could also be AI accent neutralization. Some of offshore call centers are using this to neutralize accents in real time. It can sound off and robotic.
I can't get over how dystopian this is.
Listen to me...call the phone number and just repeat over and over again "i want to cancel my service." Keep saying it. Interupt the robot. Throw some f bombs in there. You will get a human.
That’s what I thought too. Called in to change plans and they were just so robotic and the response was super delayed.

I never had luck with comcast on the phone, I always had to goto the nearest comcast station
Maybe I’ll try that. The craziest thing to come out of the abundance of AI agents is they’re making physical stores more popular again since that’s the only place to get a real human 😭
There are still humans but I had to try to resolve the problem 3x first, then write a professionally polite yet critical comments on a survey. An actual human called me back then next day and resolved the problem.
This definitely sounded like a robot it was craaaaazy. Someone else said they use Voice transformers now and I think that’s what this was
Nah still here! 👋🏾
Turn off your dang AI voice filters it’s unnerving and sounds bad
Honestly I've had conversations via chat bubbles on websites that sound remarkably AI that weren't. This is the cr@ppy world we live in now.
They still have some. Xfinity fired a bunch and tried moving stuff overseas. That didn't work. Now the remaining employees are swamped and have to handle all the calls.
They use AI voice filters. An agent told me this when I called to cancel, also said they would get fired for removing it.
That sucks…. It sounds really unnerving and not at all natural I hate how “not human” companies are trying to seem, it’s super off putting
