Fuck you Capital One

Fuck Capital one. Not ever had a problem unI learned a couple of months ago, they forced everyone to alter their debit cards to Discover. Guess what? In the big 2 6, some places don't accept Discover. We went to the zoo today and had to go get another card because they don't accept it. I'm switching banks Monday fucking morning because I've been turned down similar to 6 times at different places.

It is the "swipe fees" that merchants are charged. Visa & Mastercard are cheaper (for the vendor you're patronizing) than Discover & American Express. I visited a health specialist last year and pre-paid for about a year's worth of visits and he was super appreciativ...

It’s generally 1-3% of your sales for Visa/MC. If I remember correctly, Discover and Amex charge 4-6%?

In all honesty, you shouldn't be using your debit card for purchases. While I understand there are protections in place, if someone gets my credit card, I have to deal with charges and a little hassle, but it's credit. If it's my debit card, my bank account could be cleared o...

I always encourage everyone to switch to a credit union. The big banks have gotten out of control. There’s nothing Capital One can provide that a credit union can’t. Most even offer a return on your checking balance with no minimum. I get 3.5% APY on mine, most credit unions h...

I had Capital One and started having problems with my card too. I could no longer rely on my card. I switched to a credit union BUT I didn't notice until after I switched that my credit union doesn't do Zelle. The biggest hassle was that you could no longer instant transfer m...

Gotta be careful that you pick a credit union with FDIC protections. I don’t know that all of them have them.

Not on my checking, but my savings account at a CU pays 3.2%? I think? So most of my money stays in savings & gets moved over as needed

I worked for Capital One many years ago. They suck! All sorts of extra fees were put on cards and we couldn’t even explain them. It was always some shady stuff on accounts. I was a young adult then and knew never to get a capital one cards. They are so sketch.

Fuck Wells Fargo too. They tried to steal 100 dollars out of my account and when I called and caught them They played it off. I pulled up the date and transaction number and then they had no choice but ti refund me. Pussies.

The entire reason I had the capital one 360 checking account is because of no international ATM fees. Now that they switched to the Discover debit network, the account is useless to me and I’m just going to close it.

Capital One sent the Vikings through my finances in 2009 when the world was on fire and I had two little kids. I will never do business with them ever again.

Helps you save money. Apparently you just spend it everywhere, so now you discover how to quit spending so much. Thanks Capital Mom!

I don’t know why they’d do that. I have capital one credit cards and a discover debit card, and I still get notifications about signing up for a capital one 360 checking account. Why would they make you use a discover debit card if you have a capital one account? I have some ...

It also happened to me but so far I have had no issues using their new discover card. I'm also in a very urban area, just outside of DC so they take everything.

No, the same thing happened to me. I think it happened awhile ago, I have since switched banks so I forget exactly. But I don’t remember having any trouble with it.

Direct deposit comes in every 2 weeks. Why would I not? I mean i get my credit card has protections but ever since I've had a debit card I've never had issues. I swipe card. Money comes out. Simple.
