Updates on SSA data exfiltrarion by DOGE.

NPR has updated the recently released WaPo story. FWIW I'm Chuck Borges, the OG SSA Whistleblower on this. I'm not overstating the impact at the end of this article

Thank you for your service. When I tell my friends about the damage DOGE has done to our country they label me as “alarmist.” The more the media covers this the faster it will correct public opinion.

One of the hardest things about being informed in this era is that if you try to explain what's happening you sound legitimately insane. The government is ruled by a cabal of elite pedophiles who trade national security secrets to make money on betting markets. Teenage boys ca...

10 fucking years of being called an alarmist....I'm used to it by now....and I'm over being concerned about the opinions of people who glued their fucking foreheads to the snooze button, so the weight of their thick fucking skulls would ensure they'd never hear the alarm bells...

Borges told NPR the allegations made in the new whistleblower complaint would have "generational consequences" if true. "This is exactly the scenario that kept me up at night. An irrecoverable loss of the entirety of our personal data. Once that data has 'left the building', ...

That last bit is what I've been thinking since DOGE started taking over offices. *If* we get out of this and rebuild, we'll need a whole new system regarding identity and privacy.

We have to assume every database at every agency is compromised at this point. This is much bigger than the OPM breach, they’ll need to get identity protection for the entire country.

Why isn’t the former SSA employee being arrested and prosecuted?

Because the current administration seems to encourage and support this behavior.

It was a DOGE employee and it is highly unlikely that they will be held accountable under this Administration. For one, I heard that they won’t do anything on the basis that they have dismantled DOGE.

We are already at that point, right? Pandora’s box has already been opened and we need to be working on creating that new system of how identity works in this country now.

We will have to wait until these people are gone. Anything started now would only be open to the same kind of compromise.

Every last one of them needs to be brought to trial and convicted. And the penalties should be far more stringent than "every last dollar that they (& their dog) possess". AFAIC, capital punishment of every last perp and enabler would not be too severe.

It might be time to consider a PKI based identity and authentication service à la DoD. At least then we can revoke stolen credentials and reissue new ones.
