In 2023/2024, the department improperly distributed almost $11M in compensation to top officials, review agency says.

"…but 19 have contested having to repay the funds…" Does anybody know how this matter got settled? Were there consequences? It's more dated, but still quite relevant and significant. Seeking information, not political commentary.
