There should be a law that if any part of the government is shut down, politicians aren't paid, and they can't use public funds for travel. And they don't get back pay once it's resolved. That might move things a bit faster.

Did you see why the Dems are blocking it? Because the Dems asked that DHS follow the existing law, US Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. They said, "no". They ALSO said, they don't respect the 2nd amendment anymore and it no longer applies to US Citizens.
