Why doesn't the airports feed the employees instead of asking everyone else to subsidize? They can certainly afford it. Not saying these people shouldn't go without food. But if your business is dependent on these workers, they should be offering to pay for their meals.
TSA can afford it too. Notice the fine print when you buy an airline ticket and it includes $11.20 "security fee" that goes to TSA. But I guess they aren't allowed to use that to pay employees, since the budget isn't approved?
