sometimes its really dermatographia causing reactions to these tests when you get almost all positives

They control for that with a saline one that is expected to come back negative. If it's positive then the possibility of reacting to the needle itself is considered.

Man! I feel your pain. Really, I do. The last testing I did was 100 scratches. I reacted to 99. Can you guess the 1 thing I did not react to? The doctor happily announced that I COULD have a pet after all, a pet COW! He assured me that a miniature cow would be really cute. No ...

Where is the negative control? Seems like you might be allergic to whatever they dissolve those allergens in if even the negative control reacts.

My son asked me why I never got these tests done for him. I said they weren’t necessary for him. Then I showed him a similar picture of my nephew and he decided he didn’t need it so much after all. My son does have semi sensitive skin so he just needs to be careful with what c...

My brother had this done and for food allergies. It was easier to list what he wasn’t allergic to (it quite literally fit on an index card with room to spare). He was on a strict diet for a few months but it was too expensive, and it didn’t seem to help, so for the last 30 yea...

It doesn't tell you the severity just a vague yes or no. Everyone has a reaction to mold, dust, pollens, grasses, dander etc. You're not going to die and you shouldn't use this as an excuse, crutch, or an identity, but you probably will.

i’m aware it’s not going to kill me. i went in to get tested because i have terrible allergies daily that haven’t been able to be treated by any other medicine so far and allergy testing + immunotherapy was literally my last resort
